The Magicians' Guild by Trudi Canavan

Okay, I'll go straight to the point. The Black Magician Trilogy is my favorite trilogy-ever.
I've read it five, or six years ago, can't even remember exactly when, and I still love it all the same.
The interesting thing about those books is how I came to buy them in the first place.
I was in the bookshop, browsing, when I suddenly saw it on the shelf. I immediately liked the cover. White, with a mysterious magician... I thought that it was unusual, but interesting whatsoever.
Then, I took this book in my hands, flipped it over and started reading the blurb, because, that's what you do when you want to buy a book(if you haven't read a lot of reviews beforehand, of course), right? You examine the cover and then read the blurb.
And, guess what? I didn't like what I read there. A girl hit a bunch of unprepared, angry magicians with a stone, blah, blah...
I started to put the book down, deciding that it's not for me, but then I stopped for a second and reconsidered.
I liked the cover so much. Why wouldn't I give it a try? Eventually, I bought it.
When I got home, I started reading it. And reading. And reading. And it was 3a.m. and I couldn't stop. Fascinating.
The story is so passionate, so sad at times, but great, so great!
I ordered the next two books right away and spent a whole month waiting for them.
Great, great books.
Great plot, amazing character development. There is this particular character (I won't tell you his name, shhh!) that you know almost nothing about in the first book, hate him in the second, and love at the end of trilogy.
When I came to the last page, I started crying like mad.
Have you ever experianced the aftershock? Well, that's it! When you can't return to your normal life after having finished reading a book and it's the only thing you can think about. Then you read the book again and again and again until that aftershock finally passes.
If you like fantasy, strong female lead, action and a bit of romance, you should deffinitively give this book a try!
